Bio: "Like any young Australian l left Sydney in my early twenties to travel and learn. I studied at The Central School of Art in London. 

As a child bought up in N.Z., Australia, and Malaysia, by Scottish/Norwegian parents, and then living across Canada for much of my adulthood, my identity was uniquely touched by different cultures and l suspect form the basis and aesthetic expressed in my work."  Howard Alstad
